Liz Estrada is a contemporary adaptation of Lysistrata, Aristophanes’ classic Greek comedy. Liz Estrada is set in Washington D.C. during the era of Trump. As one Literary Manager for a major West Coast theater company wrote, Liz Estrada “deftly harnesses the Aristophanic aesthetic, and your version makes use of the unapologetically ribald and deliciously barbed comedy-cum-commentary of the original while bringing its energy and urgency to a contemporary context.”
